About this Recovery Home
Dutton House is a men's sober living home on Harmon Ave in Austin, Texas, in Travis County. Established in 2017 and now under new leadership, the house holds up to eleven residents and never places more than two men in a bedroom.
A Men's Sober House on Harmon Avenue
Dutton House serves men only, with a two-story layout, four refrigerators, two living rooms and a backyard patio with a fire pit, enough shared space that a house of eleven does not feel cramped in the evenings. Double rooms run $1,200 a month and single rooms run $2,000, with a bed available to every resident within Austin's north-central pocket near Harmon Avenue.
Daily Structure at Dutton House
Residents are held to a 10 p.m. weeknight curfew and midnight on weekends, make their beds daily, and commit to ninety twelve-step meetings in ninety days as a standing house requirement. It is a specific number, not a suggestion, and it sets a pace of engagement from a resident's first day.
Weekly Testing Through Sobriety Hub
Dutton House runs weekly drug testing through Sobriety Hub, an outside testing partner, which keeps the accountability system independent of the people a resident lives with day to day.
Life at This Austin Recovery Home
The property sits near 24-hour fitness options, grocery stores and parks, which matters once a resident has steady structure and starts filling unscheduled hours with something other than downtime. House managers Clay Canfield and Griffin Greene, both several years into their own recovery, run the day-to-day operation.
Recovery Housing in Travis County
Austin is the seat of Travis County and the center of Central Texas, giving Dutton House residents access to outpatient providers, meetings and entry-level jobs without leaving the city.
