28 Oxford Street Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

28 Oxford Street is a men's recovery house in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, a Delaware County borough that sits directly on Philadelphia's western city line.

Recovery Housing in Delaware County

Delaware County's seat is the city of Media, but its northern edge, where Lansdowne sits, functions as an inner Philadelphia suburb. That puts 28 Oxford Street within reach of Philadelphia's job market, treatment providers and courts without placing a resident inside the city itself.

A Licensed Men's Sober House

The house is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs under Act 59 and serves adult men. DDAP licensure means the operator has filed its house rules and resident-rights policy with the state and accepted a state inspection schedule, a step Pennsylvania law does not require of every recovery house.

One of Seven Sober Houses on the Same Street

79 Blueridge Dr. LLC runs six other men's houses on Oxford Street and four women's houses on South Church Lane nearby, all under the same DDAP-licensed standard, which gives a resident room to move within one operator's network if a different house fits better.

Getting Around from This Lansdowne Sober House

Lansdowne has its own SEPTA Regional Rail station, and the borough's grid of rowhouse streets is built for walking to a bus stop, a corner store or a neighbor's porch, which matters for a resident who does not yet have a car or a license.
