Stephen's Place serves adult men returning to the community after incarceration or treatment, operating under the tagline Reintegration with Empowerment. Applicants must be free of drugs and alcohol, able to work full time, and without pending charges, and the house does not accept anyone convicted of a violent crime, a sexual offense or arson.

The house runs on twenty-four hour coverage and a structured daily routine that includes counseling, twelve-step programming, relapse prevention, life-skills training and employment assistance, framed within Christian principles. Residents share mandatory house meetings, community meals and upkeep of the property.

Stephen's Place is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs under Act 59 of 2017, a voluntary standard.

Support After Graduation From This Recovery Residence

A graduate assistance program helps residents who complete a year or more with household items, help toward rent and occasional support with education costs, extending the house's structure past the point most sober houses stop offering help.
