Walnut Street Women's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Walnut Street is a women's sober living home in Wilmington, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Clinton County.

A Sober House for Women With Children in Clinton County

Walnut Street accepts residents with children, one of the few certified women's houses in this part of southwest Ohio built around that population. Seven beds keeps the household small enough that shared childcare and house routines stay manageable for everyone living there.

Managed-Level Certification and This Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing certification requires a published code of ethics, fees and house rules disclosed in writing before move-in, and a written relapse and discharge policy that answers to a complaint process outside the house. The Managed level describes peer-managed housing with staff oversight added, while clinical treatment comes from outside providers.

The Clinton County Seat and Its Recovery Housing

Wilmington is the Clinton County seat and home to Wilmington College, along with the county courthouse and Clinton Memorial Hospital, all within the city itself. A resident with a child can typically reach schooling, medical care and county services without traveling outside Wilmington.
