A Managed Sober Home Built on a Simple Requirement

Certification Standards for This Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing's Managed level requires a code of ethics in writing, fees and house rules disclosed before admission, a documented relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process that does not stop at the house. Clinical care is handled by outside providers.

Downtown Portsmouth and Daily Life for Sober Living Residents

Portsmouth's downtown runs along the Ohio River floodwall, where a decades-long mural project covers the concrete with scenes from the city's history, and local storefronts, diners and a public library sit within walking distance of each other. A resident rebuilding a routine has an actual downtown to rebuild it in, not just a house.
