PEACE HOUSE Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Peace House is a men's sober living home in Portsmouth, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Scioto County. The residence is certified at the Managed level and holds four beds.

A Four-Bed Managed Sober Living Home

Four beds keeps the house among the operator's smallest, and the small scale suits a name built around calm and stability. It is wheelchair accessible, and staff oversee a household that otherwise runs on the residents' own routine and mutual accountability.

Certification Requirements Behind This Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing's Managed level requires a code of ethics in writing, fees and house rules disclosed before admission, a documented relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process that does not end at the house. Clinical care stays with providers outside the residence.

Walking Portsmouth From This Sober House

Portsmouth's downtown, the public library and a stretch of locally owned storefronts sit close enough to much of the city to reach on foot, which matters for a resident who is not yet driving again or rebuilding a routine without a car. The Ohio River floodwall runs along the same stretch of the city.

Applying to This Recovery Home in Portsmouth

The street address is not published, and placement runs through St. Helen's Homes. Ask what the fee covers, whether a manager lives on site, how the four beds are filled, and how the house responds to a relapse.
