FAITH HOUSE Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Faith House is a men's sober living home in Portsmouth, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and serving Scioto County. The residence is certified at the Peer-Run level and reports five beds.

Peer Accountability at This Sober House

A Peer-Run residence puts the routine in residents' own hands: chores, house meetings and holding each other to the rules all happen without a staff member managing the schedule directly. Five beds is small enough that nobody in the house can quietly opt out of that structure for long.

Certification Standards Behind This Recovery Home

Ohio Recovery Housing still requires a Peer-Run residence to publish a code of ethics, disclose fees and rules before admission, keep a written relapse and discharge policy, and answer to a complaint process outside the house. The residence is wheelchair accessible.

Scioto County Recovery Housing Centered on Portsmouth

As the county seat, Portsmouth holds the courthouse, the region's hospital and a state university inside one city, and a resident here reaches all three without leaving town. That matters most for the appointments and check-ins that early recovery tends to generate.
