Brown House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Brown House is a men's sober living home in Akron, Ohio, certified by Ohio Recovery Housing and located in Summit County.

A Certified Men's Sober Home in Summit County

The house serves men only, and five beds keeps the household small enough that one set of rules covers everyone and residents know each other well.

What Supervised Certification Requires of a Recovery Residence

Ohio Recovery Housing certification requires a published code of ethics, fees and house rules disclosed in writing before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, and a complaint process outside the house. The Supervised level places on-site staff oversight over daily operations, and clinical treatment stays with outside providers.

Akron and Summit County Recovery Housing

Akron is the seat of Summit County, home to Summa Health, Cleveland Clinic Akron General and the University of Akron. A resident here can reach medical care, courts and higher education without leaving the city.

A Five-Bed Sober Living Home

Five beds is a small household, and that scale is deliberate: fewer residents means closer peer accountability and less competition for shared space.

Applying to This Akron Sober House

The street address is not published, and placement runs through the operator. Ask what the weekly fee covers, how the five beds are assigned, what the discharge policy says, and how a complaint reaches someone outside the house.
