Royal Sober Home Men's Sober House

About this Sober House

Royal Sober Home is a certified men's sober living home in East Falmouth, Massachusetts, in Barnstable County.

A Men's Sober House on Penny Royal Lane

This sober house serves men in recovery from a residential lane in East Falmouth, a village of Falmouth on Cape Cod's Upper Cape.

What MASH Certification Establishes

Royal Sober Home holds Level II certification from the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing. Certification requires the house to disclose fees and rules in writing, maintain a relapse and discharge policy, and accept outside review of complaints.

Recovery Housing on Cape Cod

East Falmouth falls within Barnstable County, the county covering all of Cape Cod, and its location on the Upper Cape puts Royal Sober Home within reach of the outpatient providers and recovery resources serving that end of the peninsula.

What to Ask Before Moving In

A certified house should be able to answer specific questions in writing: what the weekly fee covers, whether a house manager lives on site, and how a relapse or discharge is handled. Comparing those written answers against other Barnstable County houses is a reasonable way to judge fit before committing to a specific address. The Upper Cape's seasonal economy also means part-time and hospitality work is often easier to find there than elsewhere on the peninsula.
