Women live here in a single-gender household on Pasadena's main corridor. The operator has run recovery housing in Anne Arundel County since 2014 and keeps its houses between Pasadena and Brooklyn Park, so a resident is inside a network of women's and men's houses in one part of one county. Mountain Road carries the grocery stores, pharmacies and small employers that make a house livable without a car, and it runs straight to Ritchie Highway and I-97.

The rules are published, and they tighten and then loosen as a resident earns it:
- An 11:00 p.m. curfew during the first thirty days, which the operator runs as a blackout period.
- After that, midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
- A trained house manager who lives in the house.
- Drug testing at least once a week.
A thirty-day blackout is a real commitment, and it is the clearest signal of what the first month here is for. The graduated curfew that follows gives a resident something to work toward and gives the house a way to see whether she is ready for it.
Medication Assisted Recovery in This Sober Living Home
Residents on medication for opioid use disorder are accommodated, and Vivitrol and Sublocade are both supported. Acceptance is not universal in sober living, and a woman on a prescribed medication who loses her housing over it can lose the medication with it. A residence that keeps treatment and address aligned removes a failure point that costs lives.
A Certified Sober Living Operator in Anne Arundel County
This house is operated by a certified operator, credentialed through Maryland Certification of Recovery Residences. Certification under the state's regulations commits a residence to a written code of ethics, disclosure of fees and house rules before move-in, a written policy covering relapse and discharge, and an outside complaint process. In a state where certification is required only of residences taking public funds or advertising themselves as certified, an operator that carries it has chosen an obligation it could have declined.
Recovery Housing Between Pasadena and Brooklyn Park
The stretch from Pasadena through Glen Burnie to Brooklyn Park is one of the densest recovery-housing corridors in Anne Arundel County, and it is where this operator concentrates. Living inside it means a resident can change houses without changing counties, keep the same outpatient provider, and keep the same bus route to work. Annapolis, the county seat, holds the circuit court, the health department and Anne Arundel Medical Center, all inside a half-hour drive. Baltimore is about the same distance north.
Sober living homes are group residences for people who are recovering from addiction. In most instances, people who live in sober homes have to follow certain house rules and contribute to the home by doing chores. Most importantly, residents must stay sober throughout their stay in the home.

We hold social events such as Movie Night, Paint Parties and Cookouts to promote social sober living.

Excellent management is essential to a well-run, structured sober living environment. We promote individual recovery and help our Guests in becoming self-supportive to lead a healthy productive life . Guests are required to meet Higher Standards Sober Living's expectations in health, safety and management guidelines as stated in our Mandatory Participation Rules and the Guest Participation Agreement.
