Sober living costs and rent help in Kentucky
The going rate for sober living in Kentucky is around $145 a week. That is a market figure, not this home's. Oxford House members divide the actual running costs equally, so ask the house directly. How an Oxford House is run
Oxford Houses are run by their members rather than by staff, funded by an equal share from each resident and kept free of alcohol and illicit drugs. New members are voted in by the members themselves, so calling the house is the only way to learn what is actually free.
Certification and oversight in Kentucky
Kentucky does not license this kind of housing. Voluntary standards are set by Kentucky Recovery Housing Network (KRHN), the state's NARR affiliate. An Oxford House holds a charter from Oxford House, Inc. instead of state affiliate certification, which is why it is generally absent from state certified-home lists. The state's list of certified residences is published here. Residents are covered by the Fair Housing Act federally and by Kentucky Fair Housing Law (Kentucky Revised Statutes Section 344.360).
