A Coed Sober House on South Seneca Street

Waco House shares its South Seneca Street address with the organization's Washington House, but the two run as separate households under the same roof structure, one housing men and the other open to men and women together. Residents share furnished rooms, utilities and basic groceries as part of the program, which holds down the weekly cost for someone rebuilding savings after treatment.

Weekly Structure and Accountability

2nd Chance Transition Living runs the same core program at Waco House as at its other locations: regular drug and alcohol testing, weekly Bible study and discipleship, required 12-step participation and job placement support. The expectations are consistent across the organization's houses, so a resident moving between them keeps the same routine.

Recovery Housing on Wichita's South Side

South Seneca Street sits in a residential stretch of south Wichita, within reach of the city's bus routes and close to the entry-level employers and outpatient providers a resident needs while rebuilding a schedule. Wichita is the seat of Sedgwick County and by far the largest city in the state, which keeps services concentrated near the house.
