Genesis House II Women's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Genesis House II is a women's sober living home at 425 North Capitol Avenue in Corydon, Indiana, the seat of Harrison County. It carries Level IV designation from Indiana's Division of Mental Health and Addiction and is operated by Genesis House, a Corydon organization serving women in recovery since 2020.

A Women's Sober House on North Capitol Avenue

Genesis House II shares North Capitol Avenue with its sister house, Genesis House I, a few blocks apart in central Corydon. Both serve women recovering from alcohol and substance addiction under the same peer-support and life-skills model.

What DMHA Level IV Designation Means

Indiana designates recovery residences at Levels II through IV, and Level IV, the tier Genesis House II carries, describes the most structured on-site model the state recognizes. The designation applies to this specific address, reviewed and listed by Indiana's Division of Mental Health and Addiction.

Part of a Two-House Corydon Network

Genesis House II is the second of two homes the organization operates on North Capitol Avenue. A resident moving between the two stays with the same mission and the same staff, in the same small stretch of Corydon.

Recovery Housing in Harrison County

As the seat of Harrison County and Indiana's first capital, Corydon anchors a rural stretch of Southern Indiana near the Kentucky border. Genesis House II adds a second certified women's option in a county where recovery housing is otherwise limited.
