Grace House operates an 11-bed residence in downtown Brunswick, serving women only. That capacity keeps the household small enough for residents to know one another well, and its downtown location puts groceries, appointments and public services within easy reach on foot.

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit Recovery Program

Grace House operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built around a Christian recovery model that combines the Twelve Steps with a faith component centered on what the organization describes as encountering Jesus through recovery. Over six years, the program reports 42 graduations, 21 baptisms and 149 children restored to their mothers, a set of outcomes the organization tracks directly.

Certification in a State Without Licensing

Georgia does not license recovery residences, which leaves certification through the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences, or GARR, as the closest thing to a state standard for a house like this. GARR certification, where a residence holds it, commits the house to disclosed fees, written house rules and an outside complaint process.

Recovery Housing in Glynn County

Brunswick is the seat of Glynn County and the mainland gateway to Georgia's Golden Isles, including St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island. The city carries the county's courts, hospitals and outpatient providers, making it the natural hub for coastal Georgia recovery housing on the mainland side of the causeway.

Our sober living house has 14 beds and we open the doors to anyone who has the willingness to live clean and sober. All rooms are lovingly decorated with two twin beds per room and all the comforts of home. We would love to invite you to our family. You don't have to do this alone!  Our Mission At Grace Sober living House is to provide women, regardless of their socio-economic situation, an opportunity to seek recovery from their addiction to drugs and alcohol through following the teachings of Jesus Christ and his reconciling love for all.
