About this Recovery House
Intracoastal Sober Living, LLC is a men's sober living home in Lake Worth, Florida, in Palm Beach County, on Wickline Boulevard. It was founded in 2019 by three partners with a combined sixteen years of sobriety between them.
A Men's Sober House on Wickline Boulevard
The house serves men only, which keeps meetings, chores and shared bathrooms single-gender and lets house rules apply the same way to everyone living there. Lake Worth sits directly on the coastal strip of Palm Beach County, close enough to the Intracoastal Waterway that the company's own name reflects the location.
Founded by Three Men in Long-Term Recovery
Rick White, a retired Illinois police officer sober since 2014 and a holder of Florida's Certified Recovery Residence Administrator credential, founded the company alongside Gary Avedisian, sober since 2013 and formerly a small business owner, and Dustin Foreman, who handles property upkeep and maintenance. All three describe the company as driven by their own recovery, an operation they run themselves day to day.
What FARR Certification Looks For in a Sober Living Home
The Florida Association of Recovery Residences certifies houses that agree to a written code of ethics, disclose fees and rules before a resident signs on, keep a documented relapse and discharge policy, and accept an outside complaint process. Certification is voluntary in Florida, and it is worth confirming directly with the operator which of its houses currently carry it.
Lake Worth and Palm Beach County Recovery Housing
Lake Worth sits inside Palm Beach County's dense recovery housing corridor, a short drive from West Palm Beach's outpatient providers and courts. Palm Tran's bus network and the coastal layout of the city keep jobs, meetings and appointments reachable without a car in the early months of a program.
A Companion Women's Sober House
Intracoastal Sober Living, LLC also runs Intracoastal Female Sober Living, a women's house on the same street in Lake Worth. Running both under one company means a resident who needs a different living arrangement, or a family member on the opposite side of a couple's recovery, can stay with people who already know the household.
