Sober living costs and rent help in Florida

Typical sober living in Florida costs around $205 a week. Oxford House works on an equal share of what the home actually costs, not a set rent, so treat that as the market rather than this address. Median gross rent in Florida, for comparison, is $1,669 a month. Florida Department of Children and Families is where that funding sits.

How Oxford House membership works

Oxford Houses are run by the people who live in them, funded by an equal share from each resident and free of alcohol and drugs. New members are taken on by the current residents, so the opening shown here is a past report rather than an offer.

Is sober living regulated in Florida?

Florida does not treat recovery residences as licensed facilities. Voluntary certification runs through Florida Association of Recovery Residences (FARR), the state's NARR affiliate. Oxford Houses are chartered by Oxford House, Inc. rather than certified by a state affiliate, so this home will not usually appear on a state certification list.
