Our Unity House Men's Recovery House

About this Recovery House

Our Unity House is a men's sober house in Fort Myers, Florida, in Lee County.

A Men's Sober House in Fort Myers

The house serves men only on Unity Avenue in Fort Myers, the seat of Lee County and the commercial center of Southwest Florida. Single-gender housing keeps meetings, chores and shared space consistent for everyone living there.

What Certification Would Establish for This House

Florida certifies recovery residences on a voluntary basis through the Florida Association of Recovery Residences, and a certified house has agreed to disclosed fees and rules, a written relapse and discharge policy, and outside review of complaints. Confirming a specific house's current status directly with the operator is the reliable way to check.

Southwest Florida's Recovery Housing Landscape

Fort Myers anchors Lee County's courts, outpatient providers and job market, and its position along the Gulf Coast makes it one of the busier recovery housing centers in Southwest Florida. That concentration of services is part of what draws sober housing to the city over its smaller neighbors.

What to Ask Before Choosing This Fort Myers Sober House

A prospective resident should ask what the weekly fee covers, whether a house manager lives on site, how bedrooms are assigned, and what the house's policy is on relapse and medication for opioid use disorder. A house with clear, written answers to all four is easier to evaluate before moving in.
