Hudson Behavioral Health Pine Street Coed Recovery House

11 W Pine St, Georgetown, Delaware, 19947

About this Recovery House

Hudson Behavioral Health - Pine Street is a coed sober house in Georgetown, Delaware, in Sussex County. The residence sits on West Pine Street, a few blocks from The Circle at the center of the county seat. It is one of two sober living homes the organization runs in Delaware, attached to a treatment provider that has worked the Delmarva Peninsula since 1980.

A Sober Living Home Attached to a Treatment Provider

Most recovery housing operates independently of the clinical system, and residents assemble their own care. This house works differently. Hudson Behavioral Health provides withdrawal management, residential treatment at several levels of intensity, low-intensity residential programs and outpatient mental health services, and its recovery housing sits at the end of that chain. A resident stepping down from treatment inside the organization keeps the same clinical record, the same case manager and the same referral relationships. Someone entering from outside gains access to a provider that can move them up a level without a fresh intake somewhere else.

Coed Recovery Housing in Georgetown

The house serves men and women. A coed residence widens the pool of available beds in a county where recovery housing fills quickly, and it raises questions a prospective resident should put to the operator directly: how sleeping quarters are separated, what the policy is on relationships between residents, and whether house meetings run jointly. Georgetown's compact layout means the practical answers about work, meetings and appointments come out the same either way, since everything is a short walk.

Licensure and Accreditation Behind This Recovery Residence

Hudson Behavioral Health is accredited by the Joint Commission, the national body that surveys hospitals and behavioral health organizations. Accreditation is separate from recovery residence certification and answers a different question: it speaks to clinical governance, safety practice and record keeping across the whole organization. Delaware certifies recovery residences through the First State Alliance of Recovery Residences under the Matthew Klosowski Act, and that certification is granted address by address. Ask about both.

Sussex County Recovery Housing and the County Seat

Georgetown carries more recovery housing than any other town in Delaware, and the county seat is the reason. The Sussex County Courthouse, Family Court, the probation offices and most of the county's treatment and social service capacity sit within a short radius of The Circle. Beebe Healthcare and Bayhealth cover outpatient and hospital care in the area. Employment in western Sussex runs to poultry processing, construction, agriculture and the seasonal trade along the coast. A resident here can satisfy a court obligation, attend an appointment and work a shift without leaving town.

A Delmarva Recovery Housing Provider

Hudson Behavioral Health began in 1980 as the first residential addiction treatment program on the Eastern Shore, and it has grown into a network of residential and outpatient sites across Maryland and Delaware. Its main campus is in Salisbury, Maryland, south across the state line on the same highway corridor. For a resident in Georgetown, that footprint means the organization's residential capacity, its outpatient mental health center and its recovery housing all sit inside one referral network that does not stop at the border.

What to Ask Before Applying to This Georgetown Sober House

Admissions run through Hudson Behavioral Health. Ask which level of care this address provides, whether residents are expected to be enrolled in one of the organization's programs, what the weekly fee is and what it covers, how long a stay typically runs, and whether prescribed medication for opioid use disorder is accepted. A provider offering everything from withdrawal management to recovery housing under one name should be able to place a caller precisely.

Our houses, located in Salisbury, Maryland and Georgetown, Delaware are available for recovery individuals who require a more structured environment in the early stages of recovery.  Our Recovery Housing options are available to patients who discharge from our Inpatient and Partial Hospital Programs, but individuals can also self-refer, or be referred in by other community organizations. Residents in our recovery houses obtain employment, attend 12-step meetings, and enroll in and complete an outpatient treatment program.  They contribute to the daily operations of the house and participate in all house activities.  All residents have access to an in-house Employment Readiness Center to work on resumes and look for employment online.
