About this Recovery House
Jamison House is a certified women's sober living home in Centennial, Colorado, in Arapahoe County, operated by Zen Mountain Sober Living. It opened in September 2018 and has been part of the operator's women's portfolio since.
A Women's Sober House in Centennial
Everyone living here is a woman in recovery, and the operator runs it as a household, not as a facility. The house has a new kitchen, a large backyard and several living rooms, the largest of which seats eleven. That detail says something practical about how the place is used: the whole house can sit down together, and the operator describes Jamison as its most social residence, with a younger average age than its other homes.
Certification of This Colorado Recovery Residence
Jamison House is listed as a certified recovery residence in Colorado's statewide directory, maintained by ORH-CO, the Behavioral Health Administration's approved certifying body and the state's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences. Certification is granted to the individual residence, so it attaches to this address and not merely to the company behind it. It commits the house to written disclosure of fees and rules before move-in, a written relapse and discharge policy, a published code of ethics, and an external complaint process. Colorado House Bill 19-1009 requires certification by an approved body before a residence can take state referrals or funding, which is why the directory is the first place a case manager looks.
Medication Supported Recovery Homes
Zen Mountain is listed as supporting medication-assisted treatment across its residences. For a woman stabilized on buprenorphine or methadone, that determines whether housing and treatment can coexist at one address. Rent subsidy is also listed against the operator, which matters in a county where market rent has outrun entry-level wages.
Sober Living in Centennial and Arapahoe County
Centennial is one of Colorado's newest municipalities, incorporated in 2001 out of unincorporated Arapahoe County, and it sits between Aurora, the Denver Tech Center and Littleton. Littleton is the county seat, so court obligations and county services run a short distance west. The Tech Center concentrates office employment on the north edge of the city, and RTD light rail reaches it. A woman living in Centennial recovery housing is close to work and appointments without being in the middle of downtown Denver.
Moving Between Zen Mountain Sober Homes
Zen Mountain operates several women's residences across Aurora, Centennial and the Denver Tech Center area, and applications go through the operator instead of the individual house. A woman who finds the social atmosphere at Jamison a poor fit, or who needs to move closer to a job, can raise it with people who already know her. That flexibility is the practical argument for a multi-house operator over a standalone sober home.
