About this Recovery House
Lotus Lodge - Jarvis is a certified sober living home in Aurora, Colorado, in Arapahoe County, run by an operator owned by certified addiction nurses. It is one of three Lotus Lodge recovery residences across Aurora and Centennial.
Nurse-Owned Sober Living in Aurora
Clinician ownership is uncommon in recovery housing and it shows up in the details a resident cares about. Medication timing, withdrawal symptoms, coordinating a prescriber with a work schedule: these are routine problems to nurses who specialize in addiction and unfamiliar ones to a landlord. The house is still housing, and clinical treatment happens with outside providers. The difference is who is setting policy.
What This Recovery Residence Costs
Lotus Lodge publishes its rates, which is rare in this market. Housing is $1,050 a month. Case management and peer support add $500 a month, for a combined cash rate of $1,550. The intake fee on the housing side is $200. Scholarships are available for people who qualify, and rent subsidy is listed against the operator in the state directory. Pricing the staffed portion separately lets an applicant see what the program part of the program costs.
House Expectations in This Sober Home
Residents are 21 and older. They attend a partial hospitalization program, an intensive outpatient program, work or school. They go to recovery meetings, take on house chores, stay sober and submit to testing. Houses are single-gender, with men's and women's residences at separate addresses.
Certification of Colorado Recovery Residences
All of this operator's houses are certified through ORH-CO, the certifying body approved by the state Behavioral Health Administration and Colorado's affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences, and the certification is renewed annually. It obliges a residence to disclose fees and rules in writing before move-in, keep a written relapse and discharge policy, follow a code of ethics, and answer complaints reviewed outside the house. House Bill 19-1009 makes it the condition for state referrals and funding. Colorado publishes no street addresses for certified residences, so placement is arranged through the operator.
Aurora and Arapahoe County Sober Housing
Aurora is the third-largest city in Colorado and holds the eastern half of the Denver metropolitan area. The Anschutz Medical Campus concentrates outpatient providers and health-sector jobs on the north side, RTD light rail runs the I-225 corridor, and bus service covers Colfax Avenue end to end. Littleton is the seat of Arapahoe County. For a resident attending an intensive outpatient program while holding a job, that access is what makes both possible in the same week.
