Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residences

Certification for sober residences in Pennsylvania is issued by the Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residences (PARR). PARR supports Pennsylvania sober home operators and residents in providing quality, recovery-oriented housing opportunities to individuals on the journey to recovery from substance abuse. PARR believes that all sober living individuals have the right to recover in safe environments that provide residents with respect and dignity.

The Pennsylvania Alliance of Recovery Residences was formed in 2011 as a 501c3 nonprofit organization. PARR was created as an affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). It is a nonprofit organization working to increase the availability of structured, high quality recovery and sober living housing in Pennsylvania. It was founded with the goal of monitoring and evaluating sober homes based on national standards set by NARR.
