It is a nonprofit organization that monitors the quality of sober living and recovery care providers in New Jersey. NJARR serves as the primary, and only NARR affiliated, organization for holding all certified sober homes in New Jersey to NARR standards.

From the New Jersey Association of Recovery Residences:

We believe in high-quality care for chemically dependent individuals and other persons needing recovery residence services. This can best be achieved through the creation and maintenance of standards designed for that purpose. We further believe that all people have the right to recover in an atmosphere that meets their special circumstances as well as their basic needs for safety, dignity, and respect.

The NJARR mission is to create, monitor, evaluate and improve standards and measures of quality for recovery residences in New Jersey; to maintain a forum for exchanging ideas, solving problems and providing guidance; to act as an advocate for our members as well as for those we serve.
