Sober House Certification in New Hampshire

New Hampshire Coalition of Recovery Residences

Certification for sober residences in New Hampshire is issued by the New Hampshire Coalition of Recovery Residences (NHCORR). The New Hampshire Coalition of Recovery Residences was established in 2017. Its purpose is to bring together the talent of those in the sober and recovery housing industry to create better services for all.

NHCORR was created as an affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR). It is a nonprofit organization working to create high quality recovery residences, accessible to as many people as possible. Certification from NHCORR aims to ensure that sober home operators are assisted in providing residents with homes that follow the national standards set by NARR. These standards aid in the wellbeing, health, and safety of both the residents and the recovery house operators.

From the New Hampshire Coalition of Recovery Residences:

NHCORR is committed to building strong recovery communities, eliminating barriers to recovery –supportive housing, and promoting best practice standards for New Hampshire’s alcohol and drug free homes. One of the coalition’s goals is to advocate for certified homes at local, state and federal level. We offer education testimony and technical assistance to both the homeowner /operator and local, state and federal authorities and representatives about best practices.
