Whydah Sober Living is a men’s sober house in Hamden, CT.
Sober living houses also called sober homes and sober living environments, are facilities that provide safe housing and supportive, structured living conditions for people exiting drug rehabilitation programs. Sober houses serve as a transitional environment between such programs and mainstream society.
Sober living homes are group residences for people who are recovering from addiction. In most instances, people who live in sober homes have to follow certain house rules and contribute to the home by doing chores. Most importantly, residents must stay sober throughout their stay in the home.
Whydah Sober Living is not substance abuse treatment, and we have no clinical services. What we offer is more like a fraternity for and of individuals who’ve achieved abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Our management serves to be more as leaders and guardians rather than staff, providing a service of accountability and guidance.
We want to be clear we are not the place for an addict/alcoholic to begin a journey of recovery, but rather a destination they may hope to reach to further secure themselves from addiction. Whydah Sober Living monthly fees range in price from $600-$900 per month, and we take no deposits for entry, but you must meet certain criteria for admission.
