Sober House Description:

The Turning Point of Greenville is a men’s sober living residence in Greenville, SC.

The mission of Turning Point is to assist suffering alcoholics and drug addicts with recovery by removing obstacles and providing support. We remove many obstacles by providing substance-free housing available to anyone committed to recovery, regardless of present financial status.

Additional Information:

At any of the Turning Point facilities, you live in an environment where everyone else is also in Recovery. Our live, onsite staff—each of whom has personal experience with recovery—will assist residents during their job search and introduce them to the AA/NA program.

Our Program believes that recovery is contingent upon becoming self-supporting through our own contributions. Our doors remain open without regard to a person’s initial ability to pay. As a resident works through the program, he becomes self-supporting and learns crucial financial management skills. After at least 90 days, residents may be able to successfully leave the program with a job, some savings, clean time, and tools to stay clean. Because residents pay as they go, they leave Turning Point debt-free.

Our philosophy of removing obstacles hasn’t changed. With a remarkably high success rate, The Turning Point has seen over seven thousand people gain a new start in life since 1995. The Turning Point of South Carolina, Inc., maintains several transitional sober living facilities, including the Milestone Houses and Harmony House for women. The Recovery Meeting Center, a longtime dream of Mr. Fred’s, was finished and opened in the spring of 2015.
