Sober House Description:

The Still Waters for women facility is a converted private residence nestled in the rolling hills of Perry County near the Buffalo River, Nashville, Tennessee amidst large tracts of rural forest and pasture lands. Within this 60-acre retreat, a main house provides dining services, meeting rooms, offices and housing for counseling staff. A four-room guesthouse near the heated pool and pool house can accommodate eight residents, who occupy semi-private rooms with private baths. Close by and down the drive is the cottage, which has capacity for six residents in semi-private accommodations with private baths, plus living room and laundry facilities. Residents can meditate in the extensive garden or the gazebo next to the creek.

Within this 60-acre retreat, a main house provides dining services, meeting rooms, offices and housing for counseling staff. Male residents live together in group fellowship along with counseling staff. In this way, fellowship develops into a true community whose members strive to help and encourage one another with recovery.

Admissions for Still Waters

Potential residents are interviewed by staff to determine their appropriateness for Still Waters. All information remains confidential. It is required that all residents of the Still Waters program must give permission for Still Waters staff to contact appropriate individuals for emergency contact, family contact, and any other individuals the resident may need us to contact. Applicants not qualified for Still Waters services are provided with a list of alternatives and assisted with program placement.

Still Waters is geared for motivated individuals who need a very 12-Step intensive program instead of a traditional treatment model.  We are committed to help those who are motivated for change to make the needed adjustments and commitments to realize a daily life free from alcohol and drugs and based on the spiritual principles of 12-step recovery.
