About Southern Oklahoma Addiction Recovery
Our Mission and Vision is to provide a long-term therapeutic work program for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction for court-ordered, non-violent offenders as an alternative to incarceration.
SOAR was created to give offenders a chance to beat their addictions, pay their own way by working, and become productive members of their communities. It’s a unique partnership of the criminal justice system, local employers, churches, community organizations and individuals, and it keeps growing.
We are exploring ways to expand our services for men and hoping to start a similar program for women. We’re thankful for everybody in the SOAR family, and we’re looking forward to more amazing results.”
Additional Information:
Sober living homes are group residences for people who are recovering from addiction. In most instances, people who live in sober homes have to follow certain house rules and contribute to the home by doing chores. Most importantly, residents must stay sober throughout their stay in the home.
